Hey, everyone. Welcome to another area update. Hi. My name's Brian Schrader. I'm the coastline NC Real Estate team at Blue Coast Really Corporation. Today's area, we're gonna talk about it's Ocean Isle Beach. Ocean Isle Beach is in Brunswick County. It's about 50 Minutes South of Wilmington and about 20 Minutes North of Myrtle Beach, but we're gonna talk about the benefits of Ocean Isle. If you've never been there, it's a incredible Beach to visit, or even live on. So it is a burial island, and, we're gonna talk about the, location of it. You can see here on the map, with the red arrow, it is a south facing beach, which is pretty unique, for the East Coast. You can actually catch a sunset on Ocean Island because of this factor. So it is one of 5 barrier islands in Brunswick County. And if we dive in just a little bit closer, We can see from, tip to tip, it's about five miles long. You got the Atlantic on one side. You have the intracostal waterway on the other. But as you can see there's a lot of these backwater areas like Jinks Creek, as you can see here on the map, and these little tiny blue strips represent waterways, where people have their own personal boat docks. so it's easy to navigate if you own a boat and you live on the island to the Intracosta Waterway and out into the Atlantic Ocean. So we're gonna talk about some of my favorite activities. I love the bike, the beach, is a is an easy beach to bike. You can jump on. And like I said, again, it's about five miles point to point So it's about 10 miles a round trip. Another, things that people like to do when they come visit the island is offshore fishing. We have, the golf stream that sits out around about fifty five miles, out. It's, anywhere from, yeah, fifty five to sixty miles out, and this is where you can get into your your grouper, your wahoos, tuners, and much, much more. If, going offshore is not your cup of tea, We also have the backwaters. As you can see here in this photo, they kinda come off, and flow along the intracostal waterway, and they're behind the barrier islands. But this is a great area for people that are looking to dive into some flounder, red drum, sea trout, and there's much more other species but it's a it's a great environment to fish in. if you're not looking to go offshore. If fishing is not your thing and you love golf, you come to the right place. There are tons of, master plan golf courses here in the area as well. a lot of people when they like to visit, they like to know that, there's a lot of good restaurants here Sharkkeys. It's on the, the waterway on Ocean Isle. There's also the Oceanal Fish And Company Restaurant, which, got multiple decks. You can sit on top, see some views of the intracosa waterway. This is where a lot of the charter boats go in and out of. They they had the ocean fishing center right next door. So if you're looking to, book a charter, it's a great place to get some action on some fish. Another nice restaurant down on the west end. There's the Isles restaurant. It's oceanfront. It overlooks the, you know, some incredible views down there, and they got great food. And then there's jinx Creek. It's another, waterfront restaurant on jinx Creek on the backside of the island. So those are some really good restaurants. There's many more that, you know, that are on the list that I didn't put in the video for various reasons, but, you know, just know that if you come to Ocean Island vacation or if you live in here, looking for a second home, they got some good places, but here's some shots of the pier another thing you could do is take a walk on the pier, drop a line in on the actual island itself. You'll find that there are full time residents here. There are second homes. And there are short term vacation rentals in this area. Some that are oceanfront, some with pools, and some on the backside with their own personal boat slip. But, Oceania, it's a it's a unique little island. If you're interested in real estate, it'll have all the homes for sale in the area, and you can kinda get idea things are selling for. There's the bridge over to the island, and there's also a nice boat ramp. So if you do have your own boat, you're coming down to check out the area and you wanna ride around, you can drop your boat in here underneath the bridge and has easy access to the, intracoastal waterway.
