hey everyone this is Brian Schrader with the coastline real estate team down here in the greater Wilmington area with blue Coast Realty Corporation today's topic is Southport NC what are the key features of South well Southport is kind of known for it's a store downtown Riverfront as you can see in this clip here uh tons of shops restaurants a lot of water access Southport actually sits at the the mouth of the Cape Fear River and it is close to area beaches such as this one Oak Island and also Bald Head Island off on the other side of the river Southport the location okay Southport sits right in this region right in here this is known as the town of Southport a lot of people will also call this whole entire area the Southport area but most people are kind of drawn into the historical Riverfront which sits right here as you can see at the mouth of the Cape Fear River Southport is surrounded uh it's actually on the mainland but it also has Oak Island here to one side of it and then Bald Head Island on the other side of the river you'll also find in this area there's tons of different master plan communities one of the main ones as you can see right in here this is where you'll see uh Saint James Plantation it's a Active Adult Community multiple Golf Course Community with tons of different amenities here's a couple other shots of the the downtown area you'll see some of the parks here and some of the waterways off in the distance here's another shot of the uh Pier that you'll see down there on the riverfront attack real estate taxes in Southport the rate is is 0.8806 for 100 simple math on a on a 500 000 house in Southport annual taxes will be around four thousand four hundred three dollars hopefully this gives you a little taste of what Southport is like if you have any questions feel free to give us a shout and we will see you here on the next video update
