ICWW

ICWW in Brunswick County NC

Some people call it “the ditch” and some people call it “Snowbird Lane”, but the Intracoastal Waterway runs from Maine to Florida, and is the path of many boaters trying to escape the cold winters of the Northeast. In Wilmington as well as Brunswick County, you will find beautiful homes with gorgeous views, access docs, and boat slips right off the ICWW. Down this beautiful waterway buyers will also find communities with marinas and boat ramps, which allows for direct access to the waterway and Atlantic Ocean. Most of the ICWW runs behind beautiful barrier islands surrounding Wilmington, but a part of it runs down the Cape Fear River. Many boating enthusiasts like this type of setting because it gives protection being just behind the islands, all the while giving you direct access to the waterway.

Homes with boat slips on Wrightsville Beach, NC.

More good news… You don't have to be directly on the ICWW in order to find a home that has water access or a boat slip. You can find homes for sale offering boat slips on the quaint Harbour Island. Harbour Island rests directly behind Wrightsville Beach and is a beautiful area.  Another option buyers have found is searching at the north end of Carolina Beach. Both of these areas offer a variety of condos and single-family homes for sale featuring water access and boat slips.

Riverfront
